BLESSED ARE WE

A compelling short tale of terror and suspense, told from a first-person perspective. This is the story of how Amos witnessed the terrible destruction of his religious farming community's corn crop by a ravaging horde of man-sized locusts.  

Blessed Are We is my first self-published work, and it is actually the result of a 7-day writing challenge that I participated in August 2024 to learn the basics of formatting and self-publishing with the Amazon KDP platform.

It is the expanded version of an original 750-word short story I wrote for The Writing School course in 1998, but had never published.  

My inspiration for this style of storytelling was the work of John Wyndham's "The Chrysalids" and "The Triffids".
